1) For Position-Time graphs...Describe in detail the type of motion that takes place for all possible slopes (+,0,-). Also explain what physically occurs when the line crosses the x axis. Did this happen during your lab investigation. Why or why not?
2) For Velocity-Time graphs...
1) When the slope is postive in the position-time graph that means that the object is moving forward, when the slope is 0 that means that the object is not moving at all, and when the slope is negative that means the the object is moving backwards or in a negative direction. When the line crosses the x axis it means that it is going further behind then where it started. No it did not because you could not go behind the motion detector.
2) When the slope is postive in the velocity-time graph that means that the object is moving at a faster speed, when the slope is 0 that means that the object is at a constant speed, and when the slope is negative that means the the object is moving at a slower speed. When the line crosses the x axis it means that it is changing direction. Yes it did happen because we had to walk forward and backwards.
